Black Panther Suit

The Black Panther is the most enduring Black superhero in modern comics. Its depiction of Wakanda, an independent and technologically advanced African society, and its warrior-king protector—the Black Panther—has generated a sense of heroic possibility amongst the African diaspora. Worn by actor Chadwick Boseman (1976–2020) in Captain America: Civil War, the suit is made of 3D-printed materials that blend a modern design with traditional African motifs. Conceived by Andy Park and designed by Judianna Makovsky, this costume introduces viewers to the power and promise of the Black Panther.
