I was young, that was my initial thought, like, oh, I’ll just major in art, maybe that’ll get me to drawing comics. . . . And through that process of going to TSU, being introduced to this world of a studio practice . . . .and even that type of cultural-political consciousness. . . .I kind of fell in love with this other art form, this fine art, studio kind, and just stuck with that. It kind of became my goal very quickly.
