Images have the power to reconnect and restore. By creating a gallery of images at home, Sandra Jackson-Dumont’s mother transformed the walls of her apartment into a memory gateway. The images were a way for her mother to access her memories and retell her story, enabling her to “bore holes through the opaque and inconsiderate slippage called dementia.”
