Malcolm X was assassinated on February 21, 1965, while giving a speech at the historic Audubon Ballroom in New York City. National Education Television produced this documentary to commemorate the fourth anniversary of his death. In the film, Malcolm X’s widow, Dr. Betty Shabazz, speaks about his childhood, time in prison, and subsequent joining of the Nation of Islam. She also speaks about his political evolution.
